Why Timeline Peace?

Browse X/Twitter without religion-related content cluttering your feed.

Instant Filtering

Tweets are hidden the moment they appear — no flicker, no delay. Just like an ad blocker removes ads before you see them.

🔒

Everything runs locally in your browser. Zero data is sent anywhere. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics.

🎯

🔄

📊

Live Counter

See how many tweets have been filtered in real-time with the badge counter on the extension icon.

How It Works

Simple, effective, and completely transparent.

1

Monitors Your Timeline

The extension watches for new tweets as they load in your feed using a DOM observer — the same technique ad blockers use.

2

Scans Tweet Text

Each tweet's text content is checked against a comprehensive list of 200+ religion-related keywords using fast regex matching.

3

Hides Matching Tweets

If a tweet contains religion-related content, it's instantly hidden from your view — no gaps, no placeholders, it simply vanishes.

4

Keeps Count

The extension badge shows how many tweets have been filtered in your current session, so you know it's working.

FAQ

Common questions answered.

Does this extension collect any data?
No. Everything runs 100% locally in your browser. No data is sent anywhere — no servers, no analytics, no tracking. Your browsing stays private.
Will it slow down Twitter/X?
No. The extension uses a highly optimized regex engine and only scans tweet text as it loads. The performance impact is negligible — you won't notice any difference.
Can I add my own keywords?
Yes! Click the extension icon in your toolbar to open the popup. You can add custom keywords to filter any additional content you want to avoid.
Can I temporarily disable it?
Yes. Click the extension icon and use the toggle switch to turn filtering on or off. Your keyword settings are preserved.
Does it work on the mobile Twitter/X app?
No. Browser extensions only work in desktop browsers. This extension filters content on x.com and twitter.com when accessed through a supported desktop browser.
Why not publish on the Chrome Web Store?
Publishing to the Chrome Web Store requires a developer fee and review process. For now, you can install it directly using Developer mode — it works exactly the same way.
Does it work with Firefox?
Not yet. This extension is built for Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi). Firefox uses a different extension format.
